The 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre showcased unforgettable moments honoring music’s finest talents and celebrating iconic artists. Hosted by the legendary Ludacris, the event featured performances and awards recognizing outstanding achievements in the music industry. 

From Beyoncé receiving the Innovator Award and Cher Icon Award to performances from artists like Tate McRae, TLC, Jelly Roll, and Justin Timberlake here are some of the standout moments from the iHeartRadio Music Awards

Sza Won the Song of the Year Award for “Kill Bill,”

SZA got the Song of the Year award for “Kill Bill.” This is her second time in a row winning the R&B artist of the year. She’s the second person to win it twice, after H.E.R. It’s also her second year in a row winning the R&B song of the year. SZA got three awards in the R&B category: artist of the Year, album of the Year for SOS, and song of the year for “Snooze.”

She also won in the all-genre song of the year for “Kill Bill.” This is the third year in a row that a female solo artist has won this award. Dua Lipa won it in 2022 for “Levitating.” Last year, Swift won for “Anti-Hero.”

Beyoncé Received the Innovator Award

The “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer was given the Innovator Award, presented by Stevie Wonder who praised her for her remarkable career and her latest album “Cowboy Carter.”

He also admired her work beyond music. He called her “the most awarded person in Grammy history”, with words like “Beyoncé is once again changing music and culture.”  “And when she’s not changing music, she’s changing the world, fighting the good fight.” Beyoncé was also nominated for R&B Song of the Year for “Cuff It” and R&B artist of the year.

Cher Received the Icon Award

Cher received the Icon Award for her enduring contributions to music and pop culture, with an emotional dedication by Academy Award-winning actress Meryl Streep. “Have a dream and never give up. Even when things get hard, keep going. Your dream might come true,” said Cher in a heartfelt speech. 

Also, Jennifer Hudson performed a captivating duet with Cher at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. They sang Cher’s 1989 hit song, “If I Could Turn Back Time,” and later joined together to perform Cher’s dance-pop classic, “Believe”

The event featured electrifying performances by Justin Timberlake, Green Day, TLC, Tate McRae, and host  Ludacris. Justin Timberlake kicked off the show with tracks from his latest album, Ludacris hosted and performed hits like “Yeah!,” “All I Do is Win,” and “Move B*tch,” while Green Day, TLC, Jelly Roll with Lainey Wilson, Tate McRae, and others also took the stage with energetic and memorable performances
