The 49th People’s Choice Awards on Sunday, February 18th, was a star-studded celebration of entertainment and style.

In case you missed it, the 49th People’s Choice Awards on Sunday, February 18th held at the Barker Hanger and hosted by Barbie star Simu Liu was a star-studded celebration of entertainment and style.

The PCA featured 45 categories for pop culture, television, film, and music for viewers to select from. Notably, Barbie received the most nominations and awards for the night, with 8 nominations and 5 wins, including America Ferrera’s win for Movie Performance of the Year.

People’s Choice Awards Pop Culture category commemorated two legends for the night. Lenny Kravitz bagged the Music Icon Award, while Adam Sandler earned the People’s Icon Award was given to Adam Sandler. Sandler referred to the award as People’s title of Sexiest Man Alive

In Film, Barbie took over with 5 wins: Movie of the Year, Comedy Movie, Male Movie Star (Ryan Gosling), Female Movie Star (Margot Robbie), and Movie Performance (America Ferrera). Rachel Ziegler won Action Movie Star of the Year for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Although Barbie won Comedy Movie of the Year, Jennifer Lawrence took Comedy Movie Star of the Year for her performance on the 2023 release No Hard Feelings.

In the television category, two Prime Video originals won awards this year, The Summer I Turned Pretty won Bingeworthy Show of the Year and Billie Eilish’s TV Performance for Donald Glover’s Swarm. Jeremy Allen White took home Comedy TV Star of the Year for his leading role in Hulu’s The Bear.

The music category also recognized some upcoming performers, Ice Spice took home New Artist of the Year, along with  Collaboration Song of the Year for Barbie World with Nicki Minaj & Aqua. Rising star, Olivia Rodrigo’s 12-track sophomore album GUTS took Album of the Year.

Fashion Favorites

The award ceremony wasn’t the only memorable part of the night, with so many fashionable appearances on the carpet.
