Join us for TANTV’s first community learning event this year focused on positive representation and increasing visibility of Africans & the Black multicultural diaspora.

We will be joined by Asha Curran, CEO of GivingTuesday, and Catherine Mwendwa, the East Africa Director of GivingTuesday, to discuss how leaders in our community can leverage the GivingTuesday movement to make a difference in their own ventures.

TANTV EVENT – GIVINGTUESDAY

Asha Curran

Asha Curran is CEO of GivingTuesday. She serves as Chair of the Board of Guardian.org and is a Fellow at Stanford University’s Center for Philanthropy and Civil Society and a Marla and Barry Beck Visiting Social Innovator at the Social Innovation and Change Initiative at the Harvard Kennedy School. She was a Tällberg-SNF-Eliasson Global Leadership Finalist in 2021 and was named to the Nonprofit Times’ Top Fifty Power and Influence list in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.

Catherine Mwendwa

Formerly a GivingTuesday global leader for Kenya and program manager for the East Africa Philanthropy Network, Catherine has worked in the philanthropy sector for over 8 years driving conversations, research, and action in philanthropy policy and knowledge management and fundraising. She currently provides research, learning and stakeholder engagement expertise at Wasafiri Consulting, a global consulting partner. She is also a Senior International Fellow of the Centre of Philanthropy and Civil Society, Graduate Centre, City University of New York.
