On this episode of Global Solutions, I sit with Asha Curran to discuss about the work and role of the 92Y Belfer center for innovation and social impact in which she serve as the Director. On this day of the interview at the 92Y, the Future Today Summit was taking place- one of the flagship projects the Belfer center has taken under its wings.

The Belfer Center for Innovation and Social Impact seeks to scale 92Y’s renowned programming by leveraging the power of new and social media, partnerships and collaboration within 92Y’s diverse programming centers to strengthen and extend the reach of 92Y’s core values — intellectual exploration and dialogue, community, thought leadership and innovation as a driver of social change.

As Chief Innovation Officer and the Director of the Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact at 92nd Street Y, one of NY’s most prestigious cultural institutions, Asha Curran is spearheading projects with national and global reach, including #GivingTuesday, the national day of giving founded and led by 92Y; the NYC Venture Fellows, an innovative fellowship for CEOs of NYC start-ups; the Women in Power Fellowship, for rising women leaders; the Social Good Summit; and the annual 7 Days of Genius festival. Asha is an advocate for women’s health, domestic and global maternal health issues. She serves on the Independent Sector C-Suite Advisory Committee and on the Board of Directors of the Scout Film Festival, which spotlights the work of teen filmmakers.
