Loran, a self-proclaimed “huge Kamala Harris supporter,” was determined to attend the event, saying, “I’ve never attended a political rally before, and I was inspired to make my own history.” She recounted how she traveled from Brooklyn, boarding a 1:30 a.m. bus and arriving in Washington by 7:20 a.m. to secure her place at the front of the line. “I never went to sleep,” Loran shared, highlighting her dedication to witnessing what she believes will be a pivotal moment in political history.

Footage shared on Vice President Kamala Harris’s official TikTok account captures the touching moment when Harris met Loran, warmly holding her hand. Harris then took a moment to speak to Loran’s mother on the phone, offering “love and greetings” before embracing her dedicated supporter in a hug.

For Loran, the significance of attending the rally extended beyond just supporting her candidate. She wanted to create a memory that she could share with future generations. “I wanted to have this experience for myself,” she explained. “I listen to my parents and grandparents, who can point to moments in history when they were there, and they can say, ‘I was there.’ I wanted to look back and say I was at a very pivotal speech in what I believe is going to be a turning point.”
